NICHOLAS PLASTIRAS, LMFT
Therapy in Marin County

WELCOME
You are likely here because you or someone you know are struggling in some way. Taking the leap into therapy can be intimidating. I am here to help make that transition as easy, comfortable, and rewarding as possible. I work with teens and adults to help explore problems including anxiety, depression, substance abuse, relationship issues, trauma, codependence, grief/loss, and a myriad of other issues. Oftentimes these problems are deep-rooted, thus, we must look back before we can move forwards. This can be a scary and painful process. However, a safe therapeutic environment can make it a profound and enlightening experience. Together we can help you develop a deeper relationship with yourself and others, and the capacity to cope in a rapidly changing world.
WHAT TO EXPECT
I strive to create a therapeutic environment that feels safe, curious, and exploratory. We will collaborate to determine your goals from the start of treatment, whether they be symptom relief or deeper goals such as developing a fuller sense of self. I draw from a variety of theoretical orientations including Psychodynamic Therapy, Attachment Theory, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Mindfulness, Somatic Therapies, and Trauma-Informed Care.

Sessions are 50 minutes and are typically 1x/week. I am available for in-person or telehealth. Call now for a free 15 min. consultation.
